With so many memorable spa experiences on offer at The Spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel, it’s not easy to single out my favourites. Getting the most out of a spa means listening to your body and choosing what’s right for you at the time: whether that means booking a deep tissue massage to soothe sore muscles, having a hydrating facial to revive a dull complexion or simply relaxing in the hydrotherapy pool. All can work wonders. However, if pushed, here are my five of the best when it comes to spa treats…
1. Balinese massage with hot stones
The perfect remedy for a stressful week, this signature treatment uses gently heated aromatherapy oils followed by hot volcanic stones to sweep away tension and leave body and soul soothed and relaxed.
2. ESPA Nourishing Cleansing Balm
I love this product from our favourite British spa brand ESPA, because it is a real multi-tasker. A deeply nourishing cleansing balm which, when massaged with a little water over your face, neck and décolleté, transforms into a rich cream which removes make-up and leaves your skin cleansed and comforted. Can also be used to moisturise dry lips, hands and feet too.
3. Deeply relaxing lavender floatation
This hour-long treat begins with a skin softening body exfoliation combined with nurturing essential oils. The body is then cocooned in a nourishing wrap with calming lavender oil and you are left to relax in the warmth of the dry floatation and gently drift off into a state of tranquillity. Sheer heaven!
4. ESPA Tri-active Advanced Instant Facial
So much more than a serum, this concentrate, essence and treatment oil manages to instantly brighten the complexion and leave it revitalised and glowing. Perfect for reviving dull-looking skin and smoothing out the appearance of fine lines. A real skin confidence booster!
5. Hydrotherapy pool
This has to be one of my favourite spa spaces. The hydrotherapy pool at the Spa at Bedford Lodge is the perfect place to simply take a moment. With five unique water experiences and perfectly placed jets to work on troublesome tension areas, those warm bubbles never fail to work their magic.
Those are my five favourites, what are yours..?
Love Rebecca
